Big Sis and Squirt

Here's the first meeting of the two princesses! Turned out wonderfully. Em has transitioned really well into sisterhood. Unfortunately, she was hit with an ear infection and has had limited visits with little Nola. Skipping Tuesday's class, Em returned to TCP (Tustin Community Pre-School) Thursday and was eager to tell everyone that her little sister "squirt" was "out". Em and Dad got to spend the afternoon at her favorite restaurant, Souplantation, and shopping for some new clothes. The rest of her time the past few days has been spent with Nana and I think there is a trip to Disneyland coming soon!

Oh My Nola...

Well, after waiting for it seemed like a lifetime, Little (actually Big!) Miss Nola is out. She came in at a whopping 8 lbs 11oz and is 22 inches long. Deb was a rockstar during the delivery, but she unfortunately suffered a Uterine Rupture about halfway through. Essentially what happened is the incision from Deb's first c-section opened during labor and nearly forced Nola out of the uterus - But, the staff at Long Beach Memorial was amazing and got Nola out within 5 minutes of the rupture.



Now, Mommy and baby are happy and are both adjusting to their new lives. As for Dad, I am doing great. I got to spend last night in the bed sharing the room with Deb as we were lucky enough to not have a roommate last night. Keeping our fingers crossed that this will happen tonight too.
